Your partner for measurable development responses

Development Data is a regional organization working in both Southern and Eastern Africa to provide technical support in data and information management for development practitioners since 2004. The technical support extends to both financial and program data for organizations addressing key development issues of food security, poverty, gender, health and HIV and AIDS. It is driven by a mission to provide technical expertise in data and information management for development processes in the Southern African region and beyond. Development agencies, academic institutions, private sector, government departments, NGOs, and community-based organizations constitute diverse clients the organization works with. Development Data has its headquarters in Zimbabwe and a sub-office in Zambia.

Development Data’s core business is improving the capacity of development partners through facilitating data and information management. The firm relies mainly on commission work from both long term and short consultancies. Also, the firm is involved in implementing development work, having completed a SIDA funded project on gender mainstreaming in the workplace. Development Data brings forth in-depth experience in the design, implementation, and management of large-scale surveys. The firm has conducted numerous research studies and all members of the core team have vast experience in designing and implementing research projects. Development Data has successfully conducted baseline surveys; evaluation studies; feasibility studies; KABP surveys; impact, needs and vulnerability assessments for various organizations including Health Partners International, UNICEF, CAMFED, SAfAIDS, Somaliland Development Fund (SDF), Child Protection Society (CPS) and UNFPA. The firm has successfully conducted the assignments in various countries but more specifically in the SADC region.
